Merle Haggard was a country crooner from the United States who had a successful career in music for over five decades. He was known for his unique style of country music, which blended elements of traditional honky-tonk, blues, and rock and roll. He released over 70 albums and had 38 number one hits on the Billboard Country Charts. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1994.
