The Cotton Club Site was a famous jazz club in Harlem, New York City, which was opened in 1923 by entrepreneur Owen McEvoy and operated by mobster Owney Madden. It was located at 142nd Street and Lenox Avenue and was a popular destination for many celebrities, including actor Richard Gere, who visited the club in the 1980s. The club also had a branch in DALLAS, Texas, which opened in 1931 and closed in 1933.
