An ALUM is a college reunion attendee, for short. An ALUM is an individual who has graduated from a college or university and is considered to be a part of the alumni association. Alumni associations are organizations that provide support and services to former students and help to foster a sense of community among them. Alumni associations often host reunions and other events to bring together former students and allow them to reconnect with each other.
