Ara Parseghian was a college coach who had a successful career in the NCAA. He was born in 1923 and coached at the University of Notre Dame from 1964 to 1974. During his tenure, he led the Fighting Irish to two national championships and three undefeated seasons. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1980 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest college coaches of all time.
