Coach Joe of Penn State is better known as Joe Paterno. He was the head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lions football team from 1966 to 2011. He was the winningest coach in NCAA Division I FBS history with 409 victories and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2007. Paterno was also known for his philanthropy, having donated millions of dollars to the university and to various charities.
