Clytemnestra was the wife of Agamemnon, the leader of the Greek forces in the Trojan War. She was the daughter of King Tyndareus and Leda, and the sister of Castor, Polydeuces, and Helen of Troy. Clytemnestra was a powerful figure in Greek mythology, and her relationship with Agamemnon was tumultuous. After Agamemnon sacrificed their daughter Iphigenia to appease the gods, Clytemnestra plotted revenge against him and eventually killed him upon his return from the war.
