He was a leader in the Montgomery Bus Boycott and is remembered for his famous 'I Have a Dream' speech. Roy Wilkins was a civil rights activist and leader of the NAACP from 1955 to 1977. He was a key figure in the civil rights movement and worked to end segregation and racial discrimination. Civil Rights Pioneer Park in Montgomery, Alabama is named in honor of these three civil rights pioneers.
