Tabriz is a city located in the northwest region of Iran. It is the most populated city in the East Azerbaijan Province and the second most populated city in Iran. Tabriz has a long history, having been founded in the early 13th century. It was once the capital of the Safavid dynasty and is known for its many historical monuments, including the Blue Mosque and the Tabriz Grand Bazaar. Tabriz is also an important commercial and industrial center in Iran.
