Earl Warren was the 14th Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, serving from 1953 to 1969. He was appointed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower and is widely considered one of the most influential Supreme Court justices in history. Warren is best known for his role in the landmark 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision, which declared racial segregation in public schools unconstitutional. He also presided over the Warren Commission, which investigated the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
