Castor Oyl of old comics was a character created by cartoonist E.C. Segar in 1919. He was the brother of Olive Oyl and a main character in the Popeye comic strip. Castor was a tall, thin man with a large nose and a prominent chin. He was often portrayed as a bumbling, yet lovable, character who was always getting into trouble. He was also known for his loyalty to his sister and his willingness to help Popeye in any way he could.
