Cassandra was a figure in Greek mythology who was cursed by Apollo to be able to accurately predict the future, but never be believed. She was a SEER, or one who can see into the future, as well as a DOOMSAYER, one who predicts disaster. Cassandra was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy, and the sister of Troilus. In some versions of the myth, Cassandra is also known as Elvira or Peterson. Additionally, she is sometimes referred to as a seerress or an ORACLE.
