Cathy Guisewite is an American cartoonist best known for her comic strip CATHY, which ran from 1976 to 2010. She is also the creator of the character CATHY, a single woman in her 30s who struggles with the issues of work, relationships, and body image. Guisewite has won numerous awards for her work, including the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 1992.
