Edna Krabappel, commonly known as Mrs. Krabappel, is a fictional cartoon character from the long-running animated television series The Simpsons. She was voiced by the late Marcia Wallace and first appeared in the episode 'Bart the Genius' in 1990. Mrs. Krabappel is a 4th grade teacher at Springfield Elementary School, where she teaches Bart Simpson's class. She is often portrayed as a jaded, grouchy, and cynical woman who frequently takes out her frustrations on her students.
