Canterbury Saint is a term used to refer to Anselm, a Benedictine monk and Archbishop of Canterbury from 1093 to 1109. He was an important figure in the development of Scholasticism, a philosophical and theological school of thought that sought to reconcile faith and reason. Anselm is also known for his works on the existence of God and the atonement of sin. He is venerated as a saint by both the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion.
