The Canadian oil company Esso is a subsidiary of the multinational oil and gas company ExxonMobil. It was founded in 1912 as Imperial Oil, and changed its name to Esso in 1972. Esso operates in Canada and is one of the largest oil companies in the country. It produces and markets a wide range of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, lubricants, and aviation fuel.
