Canadian Indian is a term used to refer to the Indigenous peoples of Canada. Two of the most prominent Indigenous groups in Canada are the CREE and the DENE. The CREE are an Indigenous people who live in the northern parts of North America, primarily in Canada. They are the largest Indigenous group in Canada, with over 200, 000 members. The DENE are an Indigenous people who live in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. They are the second-largest Indigenous group in Canada, with over 50, 000 members. Both the CREE and the DENE have a long history of cultural and spiritual practices, and continue to play an important role in Canadian society today.
