The Camp David Accords were a series of agreements signed in 1978 between Israel and Egypt. The participants in the Accords were Israeli Prime Minister Menachem BEGIN, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, and United States President Jimmy Carter. Anwar Sadat was the leader of Egypt at the time and had the most influence in the negotiations. Menachem BEGIN was the Prime Minister of Israel and was instrumental in the peace process. Both leaders were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in negotiating the Accords.
