Cambodian money consists of three different denominations: the riel (5 letters), the riel (4 letters) and the sen (3 letters). The riel is the official currency of Cambodia and is divided into 100 equal parts called sen. The riel is used mainly for everyday transactions, while the sen is used for smaller purchases. The riel is also used in some neighboring countries, such as Laos and Vietnam.
