Burundi is a small country located in East Africa, bordered by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the east and south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west. Rwanda is Burundi's northern neighbor, and the Tutsi people are an ethnic group native to both countries. The Tutsi have historically been the dominant ethnic group in Rwanda and Burundi, and have been involved in conflicts between the two countries.
