Tauromachy, also known as bullfighting, is a traditional spectacle in which a bullfighter, or matador, faces off against a bull in a large arena. The matador attempts to weaken and eventually kill the bull with a variety of techniques, such as using a cape to distract the bull and a sword to deliver the final blow. Bullfighting has been a popular sport in Spain since the 18th century and is still practiced today.
