Les Brown was an American jazz bandleader and composer who was active from the 1930s to the 1960s. He is best known for his band, Les Brown and His Band of Renown, which had a number of hit songs, including 'Sentimental Journey' and 'I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm'. Brown was also a popular radio and television personality, appearing on shows such as The Steve Allen Show and The Ed Sullivan Show. He was inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame in 1993.
