Brooklyn's Ebbets Field was a Major League Baseball stadium located in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. It was home to the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1913 to 1957, when the team moved to Los Angeles. The stadium was demolished in 1960 and replaced by apartment buildings. Ebbets Field was known for its intimate atmosphere and its iconic rotunda entrance. It was also the site of Jackie Robinson's historic debut as the first African American to play in the major leagues.
