The Broadway Award is an annual award given to recognize excellence in live Broadway theatre. The three awards are the Obie, TONY, and Antoinette Perry Awards. The Obie Awards are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice newspaper to honor Off-Broadway productions. The TONY Awards, also known as the Antoinette Perry Awards, are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League to recognize excellence in Broadway theatre. The Antoinette Perry Awards are named after the actress and director Antoinette Perry, who was a co-founder of the American Theatre Wing.
