The term British Forest can refer to two different forests in the United Kingdom. The first is the WEALD, which is an area of lowland in south-east England that is mostly wooded. It covers parts of Kent, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire. The second is the ARDEN, which is a large forest located in Warwickshire, England. It is believed to have been created by William the Conqueror in 1087 and is now a popular tourist destination.
