Amir Khan is a British professional boxer who has held multiple world championships in two weight classes. He is a former unified light-welterweight world champion, having held the WBA title from 2009 to 2012, and the IBF title in 2011. He also held the WBC Silver welterweight title from 2014 to 2016. Khan was born in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England, and began boxing at the age of 11.
