Bridge Action is a term used to describe the bidding, rebidding, passing, and trick-taking that occurs during a game of bridge. Bidding is the process of making offers for the number of tricks a player believes they can take with a particular hand. BID is the offer made by a player in the bidding process. REBID is when a player makes a second BID after their first BID has been responded to. PASS is when a player chooses not to make a BID. Finally, TRICKTAKING is the process of playing out the hand and attempting to take the number of tricks BID.
