Brain wave is a term used to describe the electrical activity of the brain. EEGs, or electroencephalograms, are a type of test used to measure and record the electrical activity of the brain. An IDEA is a thought or suggestion about a possible course of action. Brain wave can be used to refer to both the electrical activity of the brain as measured by EEGs, as well as the ideas that come from the brain.
