Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter who is widely considered to be the fastest person ever. He is the first man to hold both the 100 meters and 200 meters world records since fully automatic time measurements became mandatory in 1977. Bolt is also the first person to win six Olympic gold medals in sprinting, and an eight-time World Champion. He is the reigning world and Olympic champion in the 100 meters, 200 meters, and 4 × 100 meters relay. Bolt is the most successful athlete of the World Championships and was the first athlete to win three titles in both the 100 m and 200 m at a single World Championships.
