Bolivar's birthplace is CARACAS, the capital of Venezuela. CARACAS is a city located in the northern part of the country and is home to more than two million people. It was founded in 1567 by Spanish explorer Diego de Losada and is named after a local indigenous tribe. The city has been an important political and economic center since the 19th century and is the birthplace of Venezuelan independence leader Simon Bolivar.
