Avatar is a 2009 science fiction film directed, written, produced, and co-edited by James Cameron. It stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver. The film follows Jake Sully, a paraplegic marine who is sent to the planet Pandora on a mission to help the human race mine a valuable mineral.
