The SAC and SACS tribes were two Native American tribes that were part of the Black Hawk's confederacy. The SAC tribe, also known as the Sauk, was a group of Native Americans who lived in the Great Lakes region of the United States. The SACS tribe, also known as the Meskwaki, were closely related to the SAC tribe and lived in the same area. Both tribes were part of the larger Black Hawk's confederacy, which was a coalition of Native American tribes that fought against the United States during the Black Hawk War of 1832.
