Bill Nye, also known as 'The Science Guy, ' is an American science educator, television presenter, and mechanical engineer. He is best known for hosting the Disney/PBS children's science show Bill Nye the Science Guy from 1993 to 1998. He has since gone on to host other educational shows such as The Eyes of Nye and Bill Nye Saves the World. He is a strong advocate for science education and has been involved in numerous public outreach efforts to promote scientific literacy.
