Apes are a type of mammal that are known for their intelligence and ability to climb trees. They are considered to be some of the best tree climbers in the animal kingdom, and are often referred to as 'big tree climbers'. APES are found in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia, and are divided into two main groups: the great APES, which include gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans; and the lesser APES, which include gibbons and siamangs.
