The Big East's Seton Hall is a private Roman Catholic university located in South Orange, New Jersey. It was founded in 1856 by Archbishop James Roosevelt Bayley and named after his aunt, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. The university is known for its strong academic programs, particularly in the fields of law, business, and healthcare. Seton Hall is also home to a number of NCAA Division I athletic teams, including men's and women's basketball, baseball, and soccer.
