Noah was a biblical boat builder who is best known for building the ARK, as instructed by God. He was also known as Noah of the Hebrew Bible and Noah of the Qur'an. His sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth helped him build the ARK, which was made of gopher wood and covered with pitch. Noah's ARK was the vessel that saved Noah, his family, and two of every kind of animal from the great flood. Noah also built a smaller vessel called Noah's MOOR, which was used to search for land after the flood.
