Beulah Bondi was an American actress who was best known for her roles as mothers in films such as 'It's a Wonderful Life' and 'Make Way for Tomorrow'. She also had a recurring role in the television series 'The Waltons'. Her real name was Beulah Bondy, but she changed it to Bondi when she began her acting career.
