Also nominated were Rod Steiger for his role in 'The Big Knife', Gene Hackman for 'The Nun's Story', Maximilian Schell for 'Judgment at Nuremberg' and Russell CROWE for 'The Insider'. Jeremy IRONS was also nominated for his performance in 'Reversal of Fortune'.
