Toni Morrison was a beloved author who wrote many acclaimed works of literature. Her full name was Chloe Anthony Wofford, but she was known by her pen name, Toni Morrison. She was born in 1931 in Lorain, Ohio and passed away in 2019. She was the first African American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993. She also won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1988 for her novel Beloved.
