Elgin Baylor was a professional basketball player who played for the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers from 1958 to 1972. He was an 11-time NBA All-Star and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1977. He was known for his acrobatic maneuvers on the court and his ability to score, rebound, and pass the ball. He was also one of the first African American players to make an impact in the NBA. Baylor was nicknamed 'The Big E' and is widely considered one of the greatest players in the history of the game.
