Bob Kane was a comic book artist and writer who co-created the iconic superhero Batman with Bill Finger. He is credited as the sole creator of Batman, but Finger contributed significantly to the character's development. Kane was born in New York City in 1915 and began his career in comics in the 1930s. He created Batman in 1939 and the character quickly became a sensation. Kane continued to work on Batman comics until his death in 1998.
