Basketball stat is a term used to describe the performance of a basketball player in a game. The three most common stats are assists, assists per game (APG), and rebounds. An ASSIST is when a player passes the ball to another player who then scores a basket. Assists per game is the total number of assists a player has made in a game divided by the total number of games played. Rebounding is when a player grabs the ball after a missed shot and either keeps it or passes it to another player.
