A basilica is a type of large, public building that was used in ancient Rome. It typically has a long NAVE (NAVE, 4 letters), which is the main body of the building, and two or more aisles (AISLE, 5 letters) on either side of the NAVE. The APSE (APSE, 4 letters) is a semicircular area at the end of the NAVE, often containing an altar. The TRIBUNE (TRIBUNE, 7 letters) is a raised platform located at the entrance of the basilica, usually reserved for important people. Finally, the narthex (NARTHEX, 7 letters) is a vestibule located at the entrance of the basilica, often used as a gathering place.
