Ryne Sandberg is a former professional baseball player who played for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005 and is widely considered one of the greatest second basemen of all time. Sandberg was a 10-time All-Star, a 9-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a 7-time Silver Slugger Award winner. He was also the National League MVP in 1984.
