Ellis Burks is a former professional baseball player who played for the Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants, and Cleveland Indians. He was an outfielder and designated hitter who was known for his power hitting and speed on the base paths. He was a three-time All-Star and won two Silver Slugger Awards during his career. He retired in 2004 after 18 seasons in the major leagues.
