Lou Piniella is a former Major League Baseball manager and player. He was born in Tampa, Florida in 1943 and played for the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Royals, and New York Yankees. He managed the Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, and Chicago Cubs. Piniella was known for his fiery temper and aggressive style of managing. He won the 1990 World Series with the Reds and the 2008 National League Central Division title with the Cubs. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2020.
