Baseball's Babe is a reference to Babe RUTH, an American professional baseball player who played for the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees from 1914 to 1935. He was one of the most prolific hitters in Major League Baseball history and is widely considered to be one of the greatest sports heroes of the 20th century. RUTH set numerous records during his career, including the most home runs in a single season and the most career home runs. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936.
