Yogi Berra was a legendary baseball player and manager who played for the New York Yankees from 1946 to 1963. He was an 18-time All-Star, won 10 World Series championships, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972. He was known for his witty sayings and is often referred to as 'The Sage of Baseball'. His nickname, YOGI, was given to him by a friend who thought he looked like a Hindu YOGI when he sat with his legs crossed.
