Baseball Hall-of-Famer Al Kaline was a right fielder who played for the Detroit Tigers from 1953 to 1974. He was an 18-time All-Star, 10-time Gold Glove winner, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. Kaline was known for his strong throwing arm and hitting prowess, and he was the first Tiger to have his number retired. He was also a successful broadcaster after his retirement from playing.
