The Oder is a river in Central and Eastern Europe that flows through Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. It is the second longest river in the Baltic Sea basin, after the Vistula. The Oder originates in the Czech Republic and flows through western Poland, then turns northward along the German-Polish border, before emptying into the Szczecin Lagoon near the city of Szczecin, and then into the Baltic Sea.
