The BALTIC and BERING seas are two of the world's most important bodies of water. The BALTIC SEA is located in Northern Europe, between Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Denmark, and Russia. It is connected to the North SEA via the Kattegat and Skagerrak straits. The BERING SEA is located in the northern Pacific Ocean, between Alaska and Russia. It is connected to the Arctic Ocean via the BERING Strait. Both seas are important for international trade and transportation, as well as for fishing and other marine activities.
